Advanced Imaging

We begin each dental implant treatment work-ups with a thorough evaluation and personalized consultation. It’s important for us to learn how your current missing teeth are affecting your life and your smile goals. Learning your concerns and goals helps us tailor your individual treatment; our goal is to always be sure you’re provided with the greatest functional and esthetic results possible.

3D images of your mouth, with cone beam CT technology, is taken to aid in treatment planning and helping us determine if you’ll need bone grafting or other preliminary treatment.

All the information we gather from your consultation and diagnostics is used to create a personalized surgical and restorative treatment plan.

Other current technology enables you to see what we see, which allows you to get a glimpse at the future of your dental health.

You’ll see areas of your mouth in “real-time” with the aid of intra oral cameras that display images of your mouth and teeth on a monitor in our exam room. This process will better help you with understanding your dental issues and also how they can be addressed.

Laser Dentistry

The power of PerioLase® laser technology provides minimally invasive treatment that’s highly precise and efficient. With LANAP® and LAPIP® we can treat diseased gum tissue, instantly eradicating bacteria without the need for a scalpel.

LAPIP™ enables us to save a dental implant when infection threatens its foundation and stimulate the growth of soft tissue and bone.

PIEZOSURGERY® also provides minimally invasive treatment, using ultrasonic vibrations instead of sharp instruments for bone grafting and other hard tissue procedures.

Courtney graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry (LSUSD) in 2015 and has been a valued member of the Barksdale Dentistry team for 14 years.

Outside the office, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys. One of her favorite things to do is cheer on her oldest son as he plays baseball.

Alaina

RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Alaina graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) in 2025 and joined the Barksdale Dentistry team in June 2026. She is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy smiles and feel comfortable during their visits.

Outside the office, Alaina recently got engaged and enjoys riding and reading in her free time.

Ashleigh

Office Manager

Ashleigh has been in the dental field for 10 years and has spent the past five years working with Dr. Barksdale at Barksdale Dentistry. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in every role within the dental office, giving her a well-rounded understanding of patient care and office operations. She holds certifications in CPR, EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant), and radiology.

Outside the office, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. In her free time, she loves cooking, shopping, and making memories with her family.

Hope

Treatment Coordinator

Hope has been part of the Barksdale Dentistry family for 22 years! With her years of experience in dentistry and certifications in CPR, EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant), and radiology, she enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental journey.

Outside the office, Hope loves spending time with her husband and two children. You can often find her cheering on her son at the ballpark or proudly watching her daughter at cheerleading events. Her family is her greatest joy, and she treasures every opportunity to make memories with them!

Jennifer

Clinical Lead & Dental Assistant

Jennifer has been an important part of the Barksdale Dentistry team for 19 years! With her extensive experience in dentistry and certifications in CPR, EDDA (Expanded Duty Dental Assistant), and radiology, she plays an important role in keeping the clinical team running smoothly and helping patients feel comfortable during their visits.

Outside the office, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She loves camping, cooking delicious meals for her family, and cheering on her favorite team, LSU Baseball! Whether she’s at the ballpark or enjoying time outdoors, Jennifer loves making memories with the people who mean the most to her.

Sadie

Scheduling Coordinator

Sadie has been part of the Barksdale Dentistry for two years, helping patients schedule their appointments and making sure their visits get off to a smooth start. Born and raised in Gray, Louisiana, Sadie brings a warm, friendly personality to the office and enjoys helping patients feel welcome.

Outside of work, Sadie loves spending time with her twin boys and making memories with her family. She also enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors whenever she gets the chance. Family is at the heart of everything she does!

Callie

Office Administrator

Callie has been part of the Barksdale Dentistry team for one year and helps keep the office running smoothly. She is currently pursuing her education to become a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), working toward her goal of growing her career in dentistry.

Outside the office and her studies, Callie loves spending time with her dog, Oakleigh. Whether she’s relaxing at home or enjoying time with her furry best friend, Oakleigh always keeps life a little more fun!

Lacey

Dental Assistant

Lacey has been part of the Barksdale Dentistry team for 10 years! She holds certifications in CPR, EDDA, and radiology. Outside the office, she stays busy with her two sons’ sports, and enjoys cooking, fishing, and spending time with family.

Alyssa

Dental Assistant

Alyssa has been part of the Barksdale Dentistry team for two years and holds her radiology certification. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and making their dental visits a positive experience.

Outside the office, Alyssa stays busy keeping up with her one-year-old son, who keeps her on the go! She also loves spending quality time with family and friends.
